What Do We Offer?

We are proud to announce that the Devon Public Library has been granted the Government of Alberta’s Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) grant for another three years.  Literacy skills are needed every day-at work, at home, at school and in the community.  Adult literacy is about much more than reading and writing instruction.  Literacy is an essential life skill, necessary for everyday decision-making to adapt and succeed in a knowledge-based economy.

The Devon Public Library offers programs to help the community with access to information and tools they need to learn, work, create, and thrive.  Residents and newcomers will have the opportunity to develop employability skills training, literacy skills (including digital), English Language Learning and life skills.  The learning environment in the library is friendly, relaxed and non-threatening.
