Letters to the Future

One of the activities we did was to create letters to the future about what the pandemic has been like from a kid's point of view. We looked at a snail mail exchange from the 1970s between a boy and a toy company and talked about the parts of a traditional friendly letter (as opposed to an email).

We also looked at the parts of a postage stamp and what themes are recurring in pandemic postage stamps so that they had some inspiration for when creating their own stamps for their letters. Once everything was ready, we sealed the letters closed with a wax seal.

Click on the avatars or the pen names (made by the participants!) to see their letter to the future about what it has been like to be a kid living through the pandemic.
