Adult Learning

Devon Public Library – A Great Place to Learn!

We are proud to announce that the Devon Public Library has been awarded the Government of Alberta’s Community Adult Learning Program grant. Literacy skills are needed every day—at work, at home, at school, and in the community. Adult literacy is about much more than employment potential. It’s more than just reading and writing instruction. Literacy is an essential life skill, necessary for everyday decision-making to adapt and succeed in a knowledge-based economy.

Beginning this fall, the Devon Public Library will offer programs to help the community with access to the information and tools they need to learn, work, create, and thrive. Residents and newcomers will have the opportunity to develop skills training, literacy skills (including digital), life skills, and share a love for lifelong learning and reading. The learning environment in the library is friendly, relaxed, and non-threatening.

Programs currently being offered can be found here.
