Interlibrary Loans: Alberta Relais

Relais is the new way to place Interlibrary Loans (ILL) in Alberta, brought to you by the Alberta Public Library Services Branch (PLSB). To access Relais, just go to alberta.relaisd2d.com and select Yellowhead Regional Library as your location.

If you are new to provincial ILL, watch our short video below to get all the information you will need on how to place holds through Relais.

Want to borrow from Edmonton Public Library? Or going on vacation to Medicine Hat?

ME Libraries gives you access to free Alberta-wide public library borrowing! When you sign up online, you'll be able to visit libraries across the province and borrow materials--using Devon Public Library card! All materials are picked up at the owning library but you can return them to any ME library. ME Libraries only work with physical materials, so online resources and interlibrary loan services are not included. Who can sign up? Adults (18+) with a local library card in good standing and with an email address on the account. Join today!

Need something from a post-secondary or government library? Get a TAL card!

A TAL (The Alberta Library) card enables Albertans to walk into over 300 public, post-secondary and government special libraries across the province, borrow material, and return it to any participating library. The TAL card is the only program that allows cross-sectoral borrowing (such as a member of a public library borrowing from an academic library, and vice versa).

It is free to register for a TAL Card.  TAL Cards may be obtained from a library member’s home library.  TAL Card users have access to the same walk-in borrowing privileges as local library card holders.  Borrowed materials can be returned at any TAL member library.
