The Art Gallery of Alberta’s Travelling Exhibition Program presents “Breaking Barriers: The Artist Inside” featuring selected works by Alberta’s First Nations artists. The pieces were completed while the artists were in provincial correctional centres and reflect the personal struggles of these talented artists as expressed through art and poetry. The works showcase the artists’ spiritual connection to their culture and families. The exhibition is generously funded by Syncrude Canada Ltd.
